HIV test campaign : Swiss AIDS Federation

HIV test campaign

HIV is often transmitted by people who thing they are HIV-negative. With the HIV test campaign in a june2023, the Swiss Aids Federation wants to sensitise all men who have sex with men and trans people and encourage them to take tests.

HIV is almost always transmitted during unprotected anal or vaginal sex. Drug use with syringes or spoons that are shared also carries a risk of HIV. With oral sex, however, there is virtually no risk of HIV. The campaign has two objectives: to increase knowledge about HIV transmission and protection, and to carry out HIV and STI tests in November for CHF 75 at selected test centers. The tests are free of charge for young people born in 1998 and younger. To this end, the campaign and its services will be advertised in print media, in social media, with flyers and with posters and is aimed at all men who have sex with men nad trans people.
